While working on another art project, I came across this image of a golden flower that I took a few years ago, and it inspired this piece.  I complemented it with layers of background including vintage text and a number of different golden tones background papers.  I added some grange effects to finish off the piece.  I was then struck by the overall warmth of this piece – sort of a glow of happiness and contentment, at least to me.  The browns and darker tones add depth and even an element of structure.  Overall, it left me with a warm feeling on a chilly winter night.
