Sights from Bottomless
Lakes State Park Area
We visited Bottomless
Lakes State Park recently, and besides some wonderful camping and OHV’ing, I
did capture some lovely images. Take a
look…
Footsteps in the Sand
I’m used to seeing a
single set of footsteps in the sand.
However, on this sand dune, at Mescalero Sand Dunes in New Mexico, there
were a few footsteps in the sand. It
looks like the prints of someone who walked up the dune and then back
down. In any event, it seems like it
would have been a nice reflective walk away from any town or city.
Around the Sandy Bend
As we were wheeling
around the sand dunes at Mescalero Sand Dunes in New Mexico, I felt like there
was always another adventure around the sandy bend in the “road”! This image captures the fun of the moment and
the beautiful setting we were in.
Living in the Rough
It is always amazing
to me how the most delicate beautiful flowers manage to not only grow, but
thrive in the most inhospitable settings.
We were doing some off-roading near Haystack Mountain in New Mexico and
I was lucky enough to capture this image.
Later, I digitally converted it to a pastel painting.
Business of Old
Driving along the roads around Roswell, NM, close to Bottomless
Lake State Park, there was a deserted building falling apart. It seems that it was a business that had gas
pumps, due to the skeleton of a sign that still remains. It’s abandoned, but it’s not difficult to
imagine that the owner once unsuccessfully tried to sell it.
Enjoy!
